A great way to bring hope to people who probably often have little or no hope

I spent nearly two years at the Townsville Womens Correctional Centre awaiting a trial on fraud charges. I began reading Thrive pretty much as soon as I got there. As a 52 year old “middle class” white woman with no previous criminal record, prison was a terrifying place. Reading devotionals like Thrive , and my Bible of course, brought me to the feet of Jesus , where I finally surrendered to Him , and life has never been the same since that day. It’s still a roller-coaster , but now that I know the Lord , I KNOW that no matter what it looks like, he ALWAYS works all things together for my good. ALWAYS! Praise His Mighty Name.

As a prison chaplain I have seen how much Thrive is appreciated by those in prison who are seeking to follow Jesus. A number of daily devotional booklets are available in prison. What is distinctive about Thrive is the guidance on daily reading of a specific book (or books) of the Bible each issue. This gives a reader a deeper understanding of the Bible, while still offering an accessible and pastoral aware approach. I encourage your support in making Thrive available to prisoners.
